INTENSIVE COURSES

The courses meet twice a week for one month for a total of 8 classes. Each actor works on camera twice in each class. Playback is then watched to see the actor's progress.

FOUNDATION INTENSIVE
BARBARA GANNEN / SAXON TRAINOR

This course is for actors who have some training and acting experience, but little to none audition experience. The class introduces the terminology used in breaking down a scene into its various elements with an emphasis on intention, obstacles(conflict), relationship and raising the stakes. The primary focus is to empower the actor to think in terms of making the strongest possible choices. The scenes from television and film scripts become increasingly more challenging as the students progress from the first class through the last.

The total for the class is $500--the first deposit of $250 is made two weeks before Class begins, and $250 due the first day of class.

INTERMEDIATE INTENSIVE
ANNIE GRINDLAY / COURTNEY BURR

This course is designed for trained actors who have some audition experience. It is for those actors who may have more of a theater background with some television and film work, but who aren't ready for the Advanced Technique class. Actors work with film and television scripts, learning how to nail the audition in a limited amount of time. The focus is on the nuts and bolts of breaking down a scene, including opening and closing beats, intention, history, units and transitions and core and masking.

The total for the class is $650 --the first deposit of $325 is made two weeks before class begins, and $325 due on the first day of class.

ADVANCED INTENSIVE
MARGIE HABER

Margie teaches you to take away the three' P's of auditioning Pain, Panic, and Performance anxiety while giving back the big 'P'--Power. You will learn how to connect to your emotional life quickly through a structure you can rely on and a revolutionary "phrase technique" that gets you through the reading, without stumbling over the script. No more memorizing! The workshop is designed for trained actors who are already going out and auditioning, but who are not booking as consistently as they should. Margie gives actors a map - quick, 10 step method for breaking down a scene, concentrating both on structure (mind) and emotion (heart).

The total amount of the class is $600, $300 for the first deposit two weeks before the class begins, and the remaining $300 to be paid the first day of class.

 ONGOING CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
• Meet once a week for four weeks
• Limited to 14 people in each class
• Work on camera to continue to see your progress
• The cost is $250 *see our payment policy*

FOUNDATION ONGOING
BARBARA GANNEN / SAXON TRAINOR
This workshop is designed to continue the actor's progress from the Introductory Intensive. This is also a prep class for the Intermediate Intensive course. You will work on using yourself in your work, taking emphasis off the words, and breaking down a scene, and relationship and intention.

INTERMEDIATE ONGOING
COURTNEY BURR / ANNIE GINDLAY

This workshop is a way to build on and perfect your work from the Intermediate Intensive course on an ongoing basis. It is also a prep class for the Advanced Technique course with Margie. You must be a trained actor who has had scene study classes and some auditioning experience. During this workshop, you will focus on integrating the mind (structural work of breaking down a scene and script analysis) with the heart (moment-to moment, organic truth). Emphasis is placed on developing strong intentions, fully realized relationships, and specific clear environments. Attention is given to overcoming obstacles with interesting tactics thus creating auditions with many levels and colors. This workshop hones your "general audition and meeting" skills as well. Learn what agents really want when they ask, "Tell me about yourself" and "'What have you been doing lately?"' This insight strengthens your ability to share yourself in such a way that agents and casting directors are left with a true sense of who you are and how you work, Overall, this workshop focuses on making creative and powerful choices, while bringing your unique personality and your professional best into every audition. We recommend continuing in this class for a minimum of 3 months.

ADVANCED ONGOING
ANNIE GRINDLAY / COURTNEY BURR
These classes are the follow up to Margie's Advanced Technique. The ongoing classes are designed as a gym for actors to continue to practice the cold reading skills that they have learned in the Advanced Technique course. Again, actors work on camera to monitor their own progress. Ongoing classes are available at various times during the day and evenings.

MASTER CLASS
MARGIE HABER ( INVITATION ONLY )
Actors whose skills are strong and who have mastered the Haber Phrase Technique are invited by Margie to study in her on-going Master Class.
