Intensive Studies Program
The Intensive Studies Program (I.S.P.) (Formerly called the International Studies Program) is very special to me. It was a dream of mine that actors from all over the world, with completely different backgrounds, would join together for a journey of a lifetime! Whether you live in Australia, Europe, South America, South Africa, Canada, Asia or the good old U.S.A., I have had the privilege of helping 12 to 14 actors in each group grow, learn and jump out of their comfort zone. When I talk to actors interested in the I.S.P, I tell them, “Do this for you – life is too short to miss the opportunity to go forward in your life as well as in your acting career.” - Margie

Upcoming session: August 27 – September 7, 2012
The ISP is offered three times per year. We are currently accepting applications for the Summer 2012 session: August 27 – September 7, 2012. To apply, email head shot and resume to info@margiehaber.com
Included in the program:
• On-camera instruction at the Margie Haber Studio, with Margie and our other teachers, helping the actor to develop and use the tools of relationship, intention, history, personalization, opening beat and moment to moment work – tools that help the actor to “Stop Acting and Start Living the Life!”
• Intensive work in the Haber Phrase Technique – Margie’s revolutionary system that teaches the actor how to use the page instead of fear it; to trust the words and explore the life, instead of focusing on the traps that come with forced memorization.
• A session with an improv coach/sit com actor/Groudling alum.
• A session with working actors in Hollywood, in order to share the experiences of what it is like to be a new face in town and how to make the transition from being a new face to a series regular.
• A session with an Acting Career Coach, to help the students understand the business side of acting.
• A session with a Talent Manager, where the actors can learn the pitfalls of the business and how to obtain representation.
• A session with a Talent Agent, where the actor’s skills and tools are evaluated.
• A casting session with a reputable Casting Director.
• Off-site activities, such as a television taping and a night at the famous Groundlings Improv theatre.
Tuition: $2,200 USD.

I’m so happy and proud of my Irish students, Emmett Scanlan and Ruth McIntyre who star in the film, Charlie Casanova – the film just premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, TX. It is the first non-American film to be selected for Feature Narrative Competition, and it’s the first Irish film ever selected.
I met Emmett when involved with Hollywood Trials for RTE Television in Ireland, and Ruth studied in the International Studies Program at my studio.
I love my Irish actors. Congrats to you both!!
